Thirty-One is the newest boat in the CCFC fleet and is currently the biggest & fastest 6-pack charter boat in Morro Bay. To our understanding this vessel was originally commissioned by the Coast Guard for high speed training exercises and endured the rigorous conditions with ease. Thirty-One made its way through a government auction and two owners before landing in the CCFC fleet. Far from a turnkey charter boat, Thirty-One was a labor of love for over three years. The vessel has been meticulously tuned to west coast fishing perfection and offers all the safety features and amenities of any top-tier 6-pack boat.

Captain Rich

About Rich

Born in Austin, TX, Rich was drawing fish before he could talk, and as soon as he was old enough to hold a rod he was hooked. When he moved to San Luis Obispo to attend Cal Poly in 2016, he instantly fell in love with the sportfishing the Pacific has to offer. Rich owns his own commercial skiff that he has been fishing off of for the last 10 years and carries 20 years of saltwater fishing experience under his belt. Rich has a passion for the ocean that few can rival—he's an avid surfer, kayaker, boater, conservationist, and fisherman. His favorite species to target are king salmon and bluefin tuna.

Captain John

About John

Born in the Santa Cruz Mountains and raised in Templeton, California from kindergarten through high school. I've spent my whole life chasing the outdoors that make the Central Coast so special.

My love for the ocean started early. At just 9 years old I was out on the water with my dad beach launching from Leffingwell Cove in Cambria. By 18 I'd saved up enough to buy my first ocean boat, and I've never looked back.

These days you'll still find me doing what I love, chasing that morning bite and getting clients on the fish.
