The canyon that runs against the coastline attracts pelagic gamefish like white sea bass and tuna as well. We can always audible to target tuna species like albacore and bluefin offshore throughout the entire day as well at the customer's request.

Specialty Private Charters
8-9 Hour Winter Halibut Trip
We are excited to continue offering our unique 8-9 hour Winter Halibut trip during a time of year when most other fishing seasons are closed. In the past this time of year has been very productive for putting massive California Halibut in the boat when the ocean conditions cooperate. Offered January - April 1st.
Ghostrider - $1,000 up to 3 people
Thirty-One - $1,200 up to 4 people

9-12 Hour Halibut / Seabass Trip
Throughout the year we'll see a handful of squid spawns which attract larger California Halibut and White Sea Bass. While we've caught both species year-round, the peak times to target seabass are typically June through November, with an emphasis on July - September. Targeting seabass on the Central Coast is extremely dependent on conditions and time of day—if you're looking to catch a ghost we recommend getting a date on the calendar and waiting until the week-of for us to reach out with a gameplan (and confirm the estimated duration of the trip). Like all of our trips, we strive to give customers the best possible chance at achieving their goal, and if we don't think we have an honest shot at catching white seabass we will audible to another trip package and adjust price accordingly.
Ghostrider - $1,200 up to 3 people
Thirty-One - $1,600 up to 4 people

What to Bring and Where to Meet?
What to Bring: A valid CA fishing license per person, food & drinks for the day (soft coolers are best on the boat and cans are preferred over bottles), and a larger cooler in your car for taking home fillet bags (fish cleaning & bags are included with every trip).
What to Wear: We recommend waterproof deck or rain boots if you have them, but old tennis shoes will work fine. Long waterproof pants would be your best bet but jeans will work as well. If you have slicks feel free to wear them as well! We recommend wearing three layers up top to be safe (shirt, sweater, and windbreaker). Mornings in the winter and spring can be chilly, typically starting in the 40s-50s and warming up to the 60s by the afternoon. Spring through fall months are much warmer, with mornings starting in the 50s warming up to the 70s and sometimes 80s in the afternoon.
When & Where to Meet: All of our trips have a rough start-time but we will confirm exactly what time to arrive within a week of your trip. Trips depart from Great American Fish Company where free parking is available for the day.
